Clyde Puffer Ship MDF kit Firth of Clyde Arran Islands

This MDF kit, ingeniously designed to fit within a business card box, transforms into a charming model of a Clyde Puffer when assembled. The MDF pieces are unpainted allowing you to paint with your favourite paints and the kit is easily assembled with PVA or similar glue and is supplied with full instructions.

This kit was designed and produced in our workshop at Cladach on the beautiful Isle of Arran where the Puffers were a familiar part of island life from the mid 19th to 20th Century. These single masted vessels were a lifeline for communities and immortalised in the stories of Para Handy in serialisation, books and TV series featuring the crew and adventures of the puffer The Vital Spark.
This mini Clyde Puffer serves as a testament to the artistry of model making and a charming homage to the maritime heritage of Scotland.
