The shell adorning the step is not needed to hear the sea as the comforting splash of the small breakers can be heard. As she enters her home, she takes the postcard from the letter box and smiles as she reads that her faerie friend wishes she too could reside at Shell Cottage.
Tigh na Mara
This faerie longs to be in the sea, its saltiness is balm to her soul and her house reflects this with its bladder wrack adorning the walls and the stonework painted a beautiful deep aquamarine. The scallop that acts as a door closes gently against the sand as the faerie leaves for her early morning paddle, and her feet delight in the feel of the silky grains as she steps down, knowing that when she returns, there in the lobster pot, will be a delivery of kippers ready for her breakfast.
